Alex Raineri, Piano
Katie Stenzel, Soprano

a Brisbane Music Festival touring program
Maleny Arts Council is delighted to recommence its performing program with an outstanding recital featuring two of Australia's brightest chamber music stars - Alex Raineri (piano) and Katie Stenzel (soprano).

Alex wowed Maleny audiences last year with an exquisite recital with violinist Brendan Joyce. He returns this year with "Wonderland" another intimate recital with dynamic soprano Katie Stenzel.

Described by Limelight Magazine as “a soloist of superb virtuosic skill and musicality”, Australian pianist Alex Raineri is an active recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician. International performances include tours throughout California, South-East Asia, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Germany and Austria. Alex has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Radio NZ, California Capital Public Radio, ABC Classic FM and the Australian MBS Networks.

As a concerto soloist he has featured with the Queensland, Tasmanian, Darwin and West Australian Symphony Orchestras, Southern Cross Soloists, Orchestra Victoria, Four Winds Festival Orchestra and Bangalow Festival Orchestra.

Katie Stenzel has performed across Australia and internationally with companies including Opera Queensland, Opera Australia, The Brisbane Festival, The Adelaide Fringe Festival, and the Taipei Drama Festival in Taiwan.

Described by Limelight Magazine as possessing “a powerful and perfectly controlled upper range”, she has established herself as an engaging and multi-faceted performer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Queensland University of Technology and subsequently completed her Master of Music Studies at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
Alex and Katie were invited to perform to re-open the Queensland Performing Arts Centre after its 6-month hiatus in 2020.
