Maleny Arts Council Inc (MAC) is an independently incorporated body. Our mission is to support, foster and promote quality arts events and experiences in Maleny and the Hinterland. MAC is one of a network of 50 volunteer-run Local Arts Councils (LACs) which exist to provide opportunities for participation in cultural experiences and community collaboration. We proactively engage in audience development for the arts, including supporting local artists and arts groups.

MAC recognises that Maleny and the Hinterland region boasts one of the highest populations of artists in Australia. Our program is designed to complement the existing talent within the region, not replace or compete with local arts organisations.  By bringing high calibre professional national and international artists to the region we hope to inspire emerging artists and give them exposure to those who have succeeded in their chosen artform.

MAC assists in promoting local artists and events as well as our own, and provides advice and support on funding opportunities available to the region.
